Khalid A. AlArfaj

Managing Partner

Khalid is the managing partner of AlArfaj & Partners. He is admitted to practice law in Saudi Arabia, New York and the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), and has extensive experience practicing law in Saudi Arabia and in the United States. Khalid is experienced in advising major national and international companies on M&A, joint ventures, corporate structuring and governance, restructuring and reorganization, capital markets, and private equity and venture capital transactions.

Khalid's current projects in the corporate sector include advising clients in a number of complex M&A transactions in Saudi Arabia. He is also advising clients on their initial public offerings (IPOs) and rights offering issues in Saudi Arabia's primary capital market (Tadawul). He advises a number of major corporations on compliance with foreign investment, corporate, commercial and labor laws in Saudi Arabia.

Khalid also advises regularly on nuclear and renewable energy projects. As the first lawyer to join the Atomic Energy Team at King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, Khalid participated in reviewing the draft Saudi Nuclear Law as well as Saudi Arabia's nuclear cooperation agreements.

Prior to founding AlArfaj & Partners, Khalid worked at several international law firms in the United States and Saudi Arabia.
Khalid holds both J.D. and LL.M. degrees from the United States and both LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from Saudi Arabia and is fluent in both Arabic and English.
